  • 16 inch bar
  • Gas powered engine
  • 10.3lbs

Sweet point bar size

16 inches is considered a sweet point for chainsaws. It’s able to split wood, cut down trees, limb trees, and even prune if you’re an experience saw user.

You’ll be pleased to know that this has a 16 inch bar.

You won’t be felling giant oak trees but you’ll be taking down medium sized trees which is the best option for most.

Splitting wood is a major reason why people have a chainsaw and that’s exactly what you’ll be able to do with this. Just slicing through the wood without the bar getting stuck.

Surprisingly powerful

I was surprised when I saw how much power this can produce. This is of course, all thanks to Husqvarna’s incredible engineering.

They have been in the industry for over 300 years so it’s no surprise. It’s gas powered and has a maximum speed of 9,000 turns per minute.

Lightweight

This weighs 10.3lbs, so you’ll be able to lift it with complete ease, even with one hand. But of course, you’re going to be safe and handle it with 2 hands. I just wanted to stress how light this is.

So you’ll have superior control and won’t be tiring when using this. If you look at the reviews, you’ll see people used this to carve some stunning pieces. I was genuinely shocked when I saw them.

Low vibration

One of the things that causes fatigue when using a chainsaw is vibration.

You’ll be pleased to know that this has a fantastic vibration system that absorbs most of the shaking.

Affordable

This is probably the best budget Husqvarna chainsaw you can get. Or maybe even the best budget chainsaw in general. You get a lot of bar length and power at a low price.

So you’ll be able to do lots of different tasks. Making it very versatile.

Electric engine

An electric engine is quiet, making it perfect if you’re using this inside or live in close proximity. You won’t be getting that gas smell as you do with gas engines.

There’s no refilling it or high maintenance. Even though it’s electric, the engine is powerful, you can cut logs with ease. And this is a corded chainsaw…

Let’s say, for example, you have a bunch of logs to cut. You can simply pile them in your yard and start cutting without having to worry about running out of power since it’s corded.

16 inch bar

The 16 inch bar allows you to cut into thick wood and the engine is powerful enough to cut straight through the wood.

Husqvarna isn’t just known for great gas saws but also electric. You can even fell certain trees with it, not hardwood like oak but the average tree.

Instant start

The great advantage electric saws have over gas is the instant start mechanism. Just at the tap of a button, you’ll have this ready to slice and dice. It’s super convenient and easy to use.

Vibration dampeners

There’s a vibration dampening system built into this chainsaw. Absorbing the vibration and allowing for better control.

Also, it reduces fatigue, allowing you to cut for longer.

There’s a 90 degree front hand which makes it easier to handle.

Reasonable price

This powerful 16 inch electric chainsaw comes in at a reasonable price. You won’t have to break the bank in order to get a premium saw.

  • 20 inch bar
  • Gas powered engine
  • Wighs 13.2lbs

Great power

This saw was made for felling and splitting wood. It has a 20 inch bar which will allow you to cut the hardest of woods such as oak. Cutting through like butter with absolute ease.

If you understand the correct techniques for cutting trees and you have a bit of experience. You’ll be felling 30 inch trees without an issue.

Its gas powered engine allows it to run at a maximum of 9,000 turns per minute. Allowing it to churn through wood like a champ.

Easy to start

This is one of the easiest gas chainsaws to start. You’ll have it running in just a moment.

Check out this video on how to start this chainsaw:

Long lasting and durable

Users have mentioned how they’ve had this for 10 years and it still runs without any issues.

So if you’re looking for a saw that will last a decade without an issue, then check this one out.

It’s true value for money. A user mentioned how they had gas sitting in the tank for 6 months and when he finally began using it again, it started without an issue.

Simple chain tensioner

On the side there’s the tensioner. You can easily use the free scrench that comes with this. Allowing you to tighten it and loosen it to your liking.

Automatic chain oiler

The chain oiler is automatic. Just top it up when it needs more oil and it’ll take care of your saw for you. Easy-breezy.

  • Gas powered engine
  • 16 inch bar
  • 11.2lbs

Fell, buck, and limb

This chainsaw was designed to fell trees, cut logs and branches. It has a 50.2CC gas engine allowing it to comfortably cut through logs.

Although, I would not recommend it to fell large hardwood trees. I don’t believe the engine is strong enough. Although, in the hands of a more experienced user, you could probably do that.

It’s great for getting rid of branches and splitting hardwood.

Visible fuel level

There’s a transparent bar that allows you to see how much fuel is left in the tank.

So you don’t have to waste any time popping off the gas cap to guess how much there is.

Low vibration

This has an anti-vibration system which absorbs a lot of the movement the saw creates. Reducing fatigue and allowing for superior control.

Simple tensioner

There’s a simple side tension so you can easily access it and adjust the chain’s tension for the bar.

Overall, it’s a great saw for beginners that can handle a variety of tasks and easy to start.

  • 14 inch bar

  • 10.8lbs

Battery powered

This chainsaw is battery powered. You charge the battery, insert it into the saw and you have power.

You can easily power this at the touch of a button. According to users, the battery time lasts longer than them so it’s good enough.

It’s quiet so you won’t be disturbing anyone. It’s cordless so if you want to take it out with you, you don’t need to be connected to a power source.

14 inch bar

The 14 inch bar is able to prune, cut branches, and split wood. Even though it’s battery powered, there’s enough power to these types of tasks.

Of course, with a 14 inch bar, you won’t be cutting down large trees but you can definitely fell smaller ones.

Lightweight

This only weighs 10.8lbs. So it’s easy to handle and the kickbacks aren’t as dangerous. You’ll be able to cut for long periods of time without tiring yourself out.

Automatic chain oiler

Even though there’s no need for any gas to be poured in this chainsaw, it still needs to be oiled.

You’ll be pleased to know that there’s an automatic chain oiler built-in for easy and convenient oiling.

16 inch bar

Husqvarna T435

  • 12 inch bar
  • Gas engine
  • 7.4lbs

12 inch bar

A 12 inch bar is made for pruning, limbing, and cutting some firelogs. If you’re into pruning your trees, this will give you the accuracy you need.

And when it comes to cutting off branches, this will handle them with ease. Now, when it comes to splitting wood, it depends on how big it is.

I would say a log no bigger than 14 inches and this saw will cut through it like butter. I wouldn’t recommend felling trees with this unless they’re very small. The maximum bar size this can fit is 14 inches.

Solid gas engine

This is gas powered so it will allow you to cut through wood with ease. It is able to output 1.5Kw of power which is enough for the things it was made for.

Light

This comes in at 7.4lbs. So you won’t have any problems handling this saw. You can maintain control at all times and you won’t get tired when using this. Light and compact is what this is.

Adjustable oil pump

You don’t need to manually pour oil over the bar and chain as the automatic oil pump will do that.

Also, the oil pump is adjustable so you can decide how much oil gets poured on. This is a great way to stop your chainsaw from overheating and increasing its life span.

Affordable

For what you get, this saw comes in at a very competitive price. It’s money well spent. You won’t be disappointed.

Husqvarna Chainsaw Buying Guide

Bar size

The first thing I would recommend looking at is the bar size. The way you determine what bar size is right for you is determining what you’ll be doing

If you’re going to be pruning, I would recommend a bar size of under 11 inches. This will help with precision and getting the fine cuts that you want.

When it comes to splitting wood, it depends on the thickness of the wood. The easiest way to split wood is to saw straight through it.

And a good rule to follow for this is having a bar that’s 2 inches longer than the width/thickness of the wood. For example, if you want to cut a 10 inch thick piece of wood, you would have a bar that’s 12 inches long.

If you’re a more experienced user, you don’t have to follow this rule as you can work your way around the log.

If you plan to fell trees, it depends on the size of the tree. I typically find that a 12 to 14 inch bar does the job.

With a medium sized tree, 16 inches is enough, even with hardwood.

If you plan to fell larger trees, I would recommend 20 inches and above. This will ensure you’ll be cutting optimally.

Engine

When it comes to the engine type, there’s gas or electric.

An electric powered saw will either be corded or cordless. If it’s corded, that means there’s unlimited stamina when it comes to doing a task.

A cordless chainsaw will run on a battery which will typically last 30 to 45 minutes.

If you’re going to be doing lighter work like pruning and splitting wood, an electric saw will do the trick.

But for felling, a gas chainsaw will be the better option.

WHY?

Because gas provides more power.

What about RPM (turns per minute)?

The higher the rpm, the sharper the cut. You may see some higher end chainsaws have the same rpm as lower end chainsaws.

This is because the higher end saw has a longer bar so it takes more power to rotate the chain. Whereas with smaller bars, the chain is going to go around the bar faster with less power.

Weight

So the weight is directly related to the size of the bar. The bigger the bar, the heavier it’s going to be.

For pruning, you’re going to want a saw that’s as light as possible.

For splitting wood and limbing, you’re going to still try and keep it light.

And when it comes to felling, you’re naturally going to get a heavy saw. It just can’t be helped. Felling will require a bigger saw and engine.

These days, chainsaws very easily stay below 14lbs. And carrying 14lbs with both hands isn’t that heavy. Even if the weight is being leaned forward.

Durability

When it comes to durability, Husqvarna really are the best. Even after a decade has gone by, people find their saw is still fully working.

They’ve been designed to take a beating and come out fully functioning in harsh weather conditions. Such as rain and snow, it still works. I would recommend checking out the reviews on the saw you want to buy.

Conclusion

So those were the best Husqvarna chainsaws you can get your hands on today. The best Husqvarna chainsaw for home use, also.

A lot of research went into this guide. I made sure to ONLY include the best of the best.

Husqvarna is by far one of the most popular chainsaw brands out there.

They’re a Swedish manufacturer that deals in a variety of powertool besides saws such as trimmers, brushcutters, cultivators, garden tractors, mowers, and sewing machines.

Their main base is in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 1689, they were first producing firearms. So they have over 300 years of manufacturing power products.

This is why I believe they’re so good at what they do. Husqvarna  has a lot of experience, hires thousands of capable people and are able to deliver top-notch items.

I hope you found this guide helpful!
